The Nordic Oikos 2020, Ecology in the Anthropocene, conference was held in Harpa in Reykjavik 3 – 5 March ( see: https://www.oikos2020.org/). Over 350 people attended the conference, which was organised by the Icelandic Ecological Society. The Department of Aquaculture and Fish Biology was an active participant in the organization of the conference, where Agnes-Katharina Kreiling, PhD student and Skúli Skúlason, professor, sat on the scientific committee of the conference. The department was also very visible in the meeting, where thirteen people attended. The graduate students, faculty and staff of the department were authors of ten talks and three posters in the conference. In addition, Alessandra Schneider, PhD student, and Elisabeth Mittel, Postdoc, were session chairs and Skúli Skúlason chaired a panel discussion at the end of the conference. Furthermore, Jessica Faustini Aquino, associate professor in the Department of Tourism, co-authored a talk in the conference. The confenerce was a great success and its organizators decerve a strong appload.
