B.A. in Tourism Studies

The B.A. program in Tourism Studies is a three-year program – 180 ECTS credits.
The main objective of the program is to provide education and training for students who aim to participate actively in tourism development, establish new tourism enterprises and take on management roles within tourism companies.
The program is founded on the principles of sustainable tourism and actively encourages sustainable and responsible management approaches within all tourism sectors.
Graduates achieve certification as Icelandic rangers, offered in collaboration with the Icelandic Environmental Agency, and are provided with insights to tourist guiding practices. Students are also prepared for research based postgraduate studies in the field of tourism.
